Održan panel na temu „Kriterijumi poslovnog uspeha u 2023. kroz trendove 5 stubova biznisa“ A panel on the topic "Criteria for Business Success in 2023 Through the Trends of the 5 Pillars of Business" was held.

"In recent years, the global economy has faced numerous unforeseen events. Through debate, the analysis focused on how all these events have impacted both the global and domestic economies, as well as identifying potential catalysts for positive economic trends.

The question arises: what are the main criteria for business success? At the top of this pyramid of business success, profit is slowly being equaled by employee retention, mental health of employees, as well as green transformation. All of this reflects on the workplace environment, human resource management, employee rights, as well as finances and investments.

The panelists of this event included: Aleksandar Hangimana, General Manager for SEE at Manpower, Bojan Žepinić, Managing Partner at TPA Serbia, Goran Živković, General Manager at CBS International, Igor Anić, President of the Executive Board at ProCredit Bank, moderated by Ljubica Tomić, Founder and Partner at TSG Law Firm. The communication and program partner of the event was the Business Intelligence Institute.

""Companies have faced tremendous challenges and undergone incredible amounts of change in recent years, and this will not slow down in 2023. First, we had Covid, which completely changed the concept of business in many industries, then the war in Ukraine. Nevertheless, CBS International has been experiencing growth every year, practically since its establishment, and we need to maintain that upward trajectory. To achieve this, we will all make maximum efforts in these changed conditions. When we talk about clients, it is important to note that due to changes in working methods and conditions, some of our clients have entered hibernation, while others have become more active, so we do not expect major turbulence,"" stated Goran Živković, General Manager of CBS International.

Bojan Žepinić, Managing Partner at TPA Serbia, commented on the concept of ""Friendshoring"" as a relatively new term established in the past six months. ""The novelty it introduces compared to the existing 'off-shoring' is that production from developed Western countries is redirected not only to more affordable locations (with lower wages, taxes, etc.), but also to locations (countries) that must be politically compatible with the country of origin of production. This is certainly a consequence of the ongoing geostrategic, political, and military conflict between the West and the East, and placing economic interests behind the previously mentioned.""

Igor Anić, President of the Executive Board at ProCredit Bank, added that ""as a rule, projects or investments that cannot withstand significant fluctuations in borrowing costs are not well-designed projects. What influences the decision to invest or not invest more is the investment climate and the degree of security and certainty investors have for the coming period, given the geopolitical situation and existing or potential market disturbances. In this segment, there has been a lot of uncertainty in recent months, and that can slow down or postpone some investments for the next period. On the other hand, every crisis presents an opportunity for new business opportunities, and many entrepreneurs can seek their chance in that context.""

""Investors from the so-called DACH region, especially companies in the industrial manufacturing sector from Germany, are seeking new locations for their production. Alongside the standard criterion of labor costs, the geographical factor is now becoming stronger. Nearshoring processes also put Serbia in focus for relocating production (especially from China) to countries closer to the home country,"" stated Ljubica Tomić, Founder and Partner at TSG Law Firm.

Considering the outflow and deficit of the workforce, as well as the potential ""import"" of labor, Aleksandar Hangimana, General Manager for SEE at Manpower, stated that ""there is still no systemic solution for importing labor, as this model is currently reserved only for certain industries. There is almost no job position for which candidates are not in short supply, so an integral approach to this problem is extremely important. To begin with, it would be useful to focus on retaining profiles that have broader social significance, such as medical staff."""
