For our client, AIMA Construction, a leading construction company specializing in residential, commercial, infrastructure and hotel projects, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee high-value hospitality construction projects, including hotels and luxury developments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects worth $100 million or more and a professional degree in Construction Management or a related field. This role requires expertise in project planning, contract management, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilites:
A. Project Planning & Coordination
- Lead the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to handover, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Establish reporting structures, defining team roles, responsibilities, and communication frequency.
- Review contract documents, FIDIC contracts, and ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee risk assessment and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
- Conduct constructability reviews to enhance efficiency and feasibility.
B. Execution & Delivery - Direct on-site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular progress reviews, analyzing construction timelines and identifying risks.
- Organize and lead weekly project meetings with key stakeholders, reporting on milestones, budget, and challenges.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and cost control to optimize financial performance.
- Implement BIM modeling for enhanced visualization and coordination.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to resolve project challenges efficiently.
C. Quality Control & Handover - Oversee quality control inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contract specifications.
- Identify and resolve construction issues promptly, preventing scope creep and cost overruns.
- Manage final inspections and approvals, signing off on project completion with crew leaders and external consultants.
- Provide post-project recommendations to improve future construction efficiency and best practices. Organizational Relationships
- Reports directly to the Project Director.
- Coordinates activities with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams.
- Supervises all Project Personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum 5+ years as a Project Manager in hospitality construction.
- Proven experience managing projects worth $100 million or more.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Key Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Contract Negotiation & Administration – Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract management principles.
- BIM Modeling – Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for project visualization and planning.
- Project Planning & Scheduling – Expertise in Primavera P6 and other project management software
- Leadership & Communication – Strong skills in stakeholder management, team leadership, and problem-solving.
